CONVERSIONS - occur when a user completes the “offer” (e.g. register or sign up to a service, installing an app, filling out a survey, or perform any other action)

GEO LOCATION - Scaleo does collect only imprecise geo data through IP address and/or wifi networks

IMPRESSIONS - occur when a user sees an advertisement

IP ADDRESS - is a numerical number attached to any device which is connected to the Internet

NETWORK - are brokers between advertisers and affiliates/publishers

PIXEL TRACKING - a tracking method which usually works by using cookies

POSTBACK - server-to-server communications between parties

What Is Scaleo and why do our clients use it?

Scaleo is an Affiliate Tracking Solution, used by clients all over the world to manage their affiliate marketing business. 
Our clients determine the data that they provide to and collect through Scaleo. 
The way how clients of Scaleo are handling any data, is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable laws or regulations.

How do Scaleo clients collect data?

At the direction of our clients, who are acting as data controllers, Scaleo collects the following types of information from Users to help clients optimize and measure their affiliate marketing business:

• Ad Identifiers
• IP address
• Cookies
• Pixel Tags
• Geo Location Data derived from IP address and/or wifi networks.
• Device Type and/or Brand/Model used
• OS and/or Browser used

How do clients collect information from users?

Clients use Scaleo for pixel or server postback tracking to collect information about Users. 
Pixel tracking stores a session identifier in a user’s cookie on click. 
In postback tracking, Scaleo directly creates and sends a unique identifier to the advertiser on click. If a conversion happens, the advertiser then communicates back this unique identifier to Scaleo for validation purposes.

How Clients use Scaleo to process information from users?

• Measuring performance of advertisement campaigns
• Measuring performance of Affiliates and Networks
• Creating custom performance reports
• Determining when Users respond to ads
• Targeting

Scaleo uses data, which does not personally identify any enduser, in order to allow a more accurate targeting for any advertisements by our clients.

What Information is Scaleo collecting from its clients?

Signing up as a Client requires setting up a Scaleo Platform. 
During this process, we collect data such as, but not limited to, Name, Email, Company, and SkypeID. 
Scaleo may disclose data in the event we suspect fraudulent, malicious, or unlawful activity or believe that we are legally required to do so. 
Scaleo may also collect and share anonymous aggregated data derived from the Scaleo platform, including, statistics about the platform activity. 
We may transfer such data to a successor entity in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or other corporate change.

Can users opt out from all tracking handled by Scaleo?

If any user would like to opt out from ads of a network, affiliate, or advertiser, they will need to contact those companies directly.
